This is a residential care home MHA coed craig who is a care home based in north wales who care for the elderly with dementia care needs.
This is a specially designed building to enhance the independence and dignity of its residents. The home comprises four wings with a central foyer and large function and dining room .
The project involved the removal of heavy moss build up on the complete roof to be followed a professional biocide application this was to help eliminate the constant issues with the guttering system and in turn reduce the workload for the onsite maintenance employees there by allowing them more time to attend to other work that may need their attention.
Due to the layout and size of this project and safety being of the utmost importance we had to build our professional one person scaffold tower in a number of positions around the building to allow us a comfortable and safe working position while using our high reach low pressure equipment which eliminated the need to set foot on the roof in turn reducing the risk of damage and maintaining our level of safety.
Once the roof was cleaned to a satisfactory standard we were then able to apply a professional biocide treatment using our on board chemical application system, this product would then continue to protect the surface and help prevent any regrowth by its self cleaning action.
